Shelly also known as Michelle grew up in a suburb called Cloverdale in Western Australia. Shelly lived with her family in a government housing commission house where she lived there until she was 15 years old. Shelly shares her stories some of trauma and pain and difficulties she has overcome in her life as well as her inspirational stories and success. Shelly become a mum at very young age , and now years later her 3 beautiful children have grown she oftens talks and shares her joy about her granddaughter. Shelly was diagnosed with Bipolar at the age of 25 in the times in her life she talks about the effects from DV and SA that has contributed to her also being diagnosed with PTSD. Shelly found herself taking photos of nature, and it gave her a sense of calm , peace and she found joy & happiness when she surrounds herself with trees/ nature. Later on in recent years 1999 Shelly was diagnosed with Benign Intracranial Hypertension and 2001 had a LP shunt put into spine, in 2015 Shelly had come down sick with Guilian - Barre' syndrome , then in 2016 was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis then in 2021 two weeks before her mother died she was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis. Shelly shines her strength, and amazes her friends & family she is a true inspiration. In 2024 Shelly's life was turned upside down again and she had hit rock bottom with her mental health, Shelly began to share her photography & story on Tiktok, and YouTube she found herself fully embracing her passion of trees, nature and sharing that with her new friends 1000's of followers who love Michelle66637 I am Shelly photography.
Shelly goes on to share her story about her public displays she has had at her local library in the past and how her mother was her number one fan , and it was her mother's greatest dream that one day her daughter would share her photography to the world, but also open a store and sell her photography. Shelly becomes emotional when she talks about her mother " My Mum was there with me as I gave birth to all my children, she was there when I miscarriage a few times. I got to be there for her when she left this world, I would often think leading up to her death about if I was going to be strong enough to cope and be there for my mum. And on the morning she died I swear I must of had angels with me because all this strength came flowing through. All these old Sunday school songs and church hymns came flowing back in my head and I sing to her as i held her close, and she closed her eyes and went off to sleep.
Shelly shares that she has a speical box with some of her mother's ashes and ever live stream she places the phone on that box so her mother can be apart of this journey.
Shelly's photography is truly amazing and as a dear nature lover you can see that Shelly is one with nature! I loved hearing her stories about a speical childhood tree ( Tree Man) which has been a part of her life for over 30 years, as well of hearing her stories of Tomato Lake, Western Australia.
