My Biggest Hero

My mother was my greatest hero, even though as a child I was the black sheep of the family and pretty much added to her grey hair. My mum still thought I was amazing & beautiful. When I started to get into my photography back in 2009 my mother was my number 1 fan! She was always sharing my pictures and encouraging me to keep at  it. My mum was super proud when I  had my displays in the Belmont public Library, and was happy to see my progressing and moving forward and getting better mentally. I would use  my photography to find a meaning and purpose it gave me a sense of joy and would always lift my mood. In 2012 my life began to improve and I sadly put the camera down, which my mum was sad and begged me to keep at it. Which I replied I feel so much better now mum, I don't need to do it anymore I achieved 3 publics display and even got my photo in the the local newspaper. My mum would come up with so many ideas to try and make me rethink about my decision and one of her ideas was me putting my photos on placemats, mugs, postcards, calendars. Sadly my mother died in 2021.  I never went back taking photos until 2023 I had turmoil few lifechanging events that found me  falling back into deep depression, and one day when I was walking to work I noticed this tree and I was amazing at the patterns on the bark so I took a photo, then slowly wherever  I walked all nature trees, flowers, bushes, clouds had me amazed again, they all stood out like it was a sign from my mum in heaven. So then  the journey began again.   I  soon discovered Shopify & Printify which I sat for days thinking should I do this, and I gazed over at my mums picture and sense of strength and encouragement came over me and I took a risk and now I have my very own store!  I often wish my mum was still here to see my progress in life , but I do believe that she is my angel and is guiding me and helping me through this journey these greatest life lessons
